About IPE

The Institute of Professional Educators Ltd/Gte(IPE) is duly certified by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Corporate Affairs Commission. Its certificate No. is 1053885; it was incorporated on July 27, 2012 to carry out the following objects:

1. To train with a view to developing human capital in the area of professional education and to issue certificates of proficiency.
2. To organise workshops with a view to promoting professional education and to issue certificates of attendance.
3. To do all such other things as may be considered to be incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects or any of them.

As the foremost professional educators body, the Institute of Professional Educators(IPE) is deeply and keenly interested in the uplift of education in Nigeria. The education sector is one of the biggest industries in the world and especially in Nigeria where we have over 36,000 schools in Lagos alone. This is staggering and significant. This industry—the breeder of those to decide our tomorrow is dominated by non-professionals. (Especially in the private sector) who really are doing their best to give their best.

Now think about this. How do you think the system would look like if there were clearly defined checks and balances—standards that regulate the industry operators?  The Institute of Professional Educators(IPE) is out to ensure that education is run professionally by all in the sector, and at the same time suggest new frontiers in education that needs to be explored that would benefit all stakeholders in the business of education.

The Institute, therefore, shall organise coaching sessions for proprietors and directors of education; training for educators and school heads; courses for educators; and bring technology to bear in the private education system.
